Brenda Snowdeal and Kurt Flanigan are owners of this small town bakery. 
 
The heart of any bakery is the the baker and Brenda puts her heart into everything she does. Anyone trying her bakery for the first time will recognize the very real effort she puts into making her bakery special.
 
Brenda has worked in the restaurant business for years and has baked personally ever since she was young.  She is especially clever at keeping some of the old traditions in baking and adding her own unique ability to introduce many new products. At this time she can offer over 40 varieties of bread, along with pastries, pies, scones, cookies and much more.
She will also bake for special dietary needs. This is a talent not easily found but she really likes helping all her customers enjoy baked goods.
 
Kurt has worked as a shipper, receiver and handled product pricing in a machine shop for many years. This experience makes him very well suited to handle the business end of operating a bakery. In addition to this experience Kurt brings 35 years of working for the Casco Fire Department in every capacity from Jr. Fireman to Fire Chief. a tradition that his father and grandfather started.  Each one of these positions require many special skills. Part of his experience has been in organizing fund raisers which include feeding large groups of people and handling the responsibility to make these efforts a success. It goes without saying that he enjoys people and understands the importance of pleasing his customers and getting to know them on a personal level.
 
Kurt and Brenda bring a lot of personal talent to this new venture.
 
This business started with one loaf of bread that Kurt brought to work for the employees to try, it was a big hit, than the selling began.  One loaf turned into 20 a week, next came selling to vacationing campers at a Two Lakes Campground in Oxford, Maine on Saturdays and participated with the Farmers' Market on RT 26 in the town of Poland every Friday 2 pm to 6 pm for the summer. These efforts were very well received and we discovered a real need in our area for a bakery in the true Maine tradition of old fashion baking with all natural ingredients and baked "from scratch"
